I don't see the 4-channel Hitec Minimal receiver listed any more. Has it been discontinued? I've used several and they've been reliable at all visible ranges, in rough duty slope planks. It would be a shame to lose these.
Hey Ed, Yes, FrSky is no longer making the compatible receivers. I don't know you will have much luck finding them on the internet as few other FrSky dealers actually offered them.
On the plus side, we are a Hitec dealer and do offer their receivers to fill the void.
Here is the binding procedure for the Hitec Aurora: Old modules may need to be updated to the newest version, the transmitter is then put in the link mode and then the blinking leds must be changed from red to blue by holding the link button for 2 seconds. Then the Minima receivers can be linked.
Yes, Hitec continues to offer the receivers. We have another shipment inbound now. I'm not sure they will be killing them anytime soon.. But never know, they have been making a lot of changes to their products recently.
I never owned a Hitec transmitter. But I have owned Hitec receivers, servos, and RF modules. Their receivers and servos always seemed to be a better value than other brands. I also own an older Hitec battery charger. It seems that is what they have been moving their focus to recently.
We have been using their new chargers here in the office. We like them a lot. Our new goto.. We used to like the ISDT, but seemed like each new ISDT had some new annoying thing.. The Hitec's have been simple and rock solid.
