Help With Mixing

JackAbel

New User
I am a new user and new to FRSKY. I need help designing a mix. Setup is: 2-engines (gas), each with its own fuel pump. Left engine throttle is on Channel 3 and left fuel pump is on Channel 18 both coming out of the RB-35S. I need the fuel pump to start some interval before the throttle opens so as to get fuel to the engine before opening the throttle and flipping the prop to start. The pump is variable speed depending on engine RPM, so I want both fuel pump and throttle to respond to the throttle input. Can anyone help??
Thanks in advance.
Jack

I am assuming the delayed start of the throttle is only on startup. Given that, I would use a pair of logical switches for arming.

The first to enable the pump.

The second to enable the throttles. This one has the start delay you want.

For your throttle, you could then use something like throttle hold, or cut, in this case I used hold. The active condition being NOT Throttle Active.

For your pump channel(s) I would just use a free mix with throttle as the source and a curve set to whatever you need.

OK, I have all of the set up just as yours, except the throttle setting at Throttle Hold. My Active condition comes up THR ACTIVE. I cannot find !THR ACTIVE. And I'm not sure what you mean by NOT Throttle Active in your explanation. I have not set up any throttle failsafes, etc. at all. Can you explain further?
Thank you,
Jack

To get to !THR ACTIVE you need to bring up the context menu by long pressing on the hamburger icon (3 yellow lines). That will show this.

Click the invert checkbox. The ! means NOT, so not throttle active.
As an FYI you should long press on the hamburger icons any time you see them to make note of the options available. One of the main things I use them for is to convert a value to a source, for example if you look at the options for "weight" in a mix

you can see that you can have a direct value, i.e. 100% or you can use a source, like a channel, or telemetry, or ?

Thanks for getting back to me again. I'll push forward with this info. Begs the question, I have watched many YouTube videos and read other documents and never got any of this stuff. Can you suggest other sources of documentation? For me, this system is very daunting and I can use all the help I can get.
Thanks,
Jack

Ethos Suite has a documentation section, and there is a popup that lets you choose the version/language you want. Then download it. The 1.6 manual is currently 434 pages long! Dig in :)
