Help selecting receiver/power/servo for Punkair Agilis paraglider

I've purchased a Punkair Agilis paraglider along with the recommended single-stick, one-handed transmitter, a Graupner MZ-4. It's a 2-channel 2.4GHz radio.

However.. the recommended/bundled Graupner 4-in-1 Extreme is no longer to be found. It was a single unit that had a receiver, speed controller, and servo, and USB charger. The motor leads would plug right into it afaict and looks to be perfect for what I need. But probably too niche to keep in production.

The gross specs of the model are
  • AUW: 45G / Wingspan: 630mm or 24"
It's a cloth delta much like the Falcon model that Aloft provides. I would have purchased local had I known about it first!

In any case.. I don't know what to do to make sure the receiver matches up and really, all of the parts needed, including a battery charger. I am rather confused with all of the different connector sizes for the batteries.

If you can tell already, I'm a novice so this doesn't have to be the highest performance kit. It's a birthday gift for my daughter who has a fascination with flying things. She has zero experience flying a model plane, so I'm guessing something more lightweight would help it to go slow.

Ok - Had not seen this plane before. It is a lot smaller. Looks like they use motor for up and down, and then just change the thrust left and right to make turns. A micro setup should be able to get you going. What radio system do you currently have? You will want to find a micro receiver with a brushed ESC and then add one mirco servo.

The receiver will be something like this:

Reminds me I need to order up more of those.

Yes, that's about it. The "pilot" has a stiff wire attached to the wing, offset to the side a bit so that the servo will swing the ballast from side to side. I haven't put it all together, but that's the general idea.

The transmitter I have is a Graupner MZ-4. It is a 2 channel 2.4 GHz radio FCC ID: SNL-16007400. I think I found a compatible (HoTT) micro receiver that has an ESC built in.

I'm going to pick one of these up and make sure I can bind it and that I understand what size connectors it uses. Then I'll come back and ask more questions about servo/motor/and prop once I know what the physical realities are in-hand.

Thank you for your quick reply. I should have done some more research ahead of time, but I'm slowly coming to understand what all needs to come together here.

No, I'm totally new to r/c flight.

I'm not sure why I didn't go with the receiver suggested. The integrated brushed ESC and just a few channels is exactly what I needed. I think I was scared off by the price of the Frsky transmitters. After looking again there are quite a few options for entry-level transmitters. I imagine the Twin X4 will be all I ever need for simple airplanes and gliders.

Whew... I'll report back with photos in a month or so :) Might have more questions in the meantime. Thank you for your guidance so far!
