help configuring Neuron II ESC and Archer Plus GR8 Rx

I have an F5J 7-channel glider using digital servos run out of channels 1 thru 6 Rx ports- with motor control previously at Ch7 port. Power input at Rx is from a Zepsus magnetic switch. Tx is new FrSky X20RS (slate grey- sorry Wayne: couldn't handle the Cherry Red :) ) with latest version of Ethos. I just got an Archer Plus GR8 receiver and a Neuron II 60A ESC. I'm looking for help so I don't fry something. I have attached the instruction manuals for the GR8 Rx and the Neuron II ESC.

Looking at the three configuration diagrams in the Neuron instructions, I think I can use the PWM + S.Port (middle) diagram exactly as it's shown with one modification: I would connect the blue wire at Rx Ch7 signal pin instead of Rx Ch3 signal pin. Is this OK?

Also, I'm attracted to the FBUS (top) diagram in the Neuron instructions because it appears to have a direct motor control circuit to the ESC (not at the end of an S-port daisy chain). But I'm not sure how to interpret the FBUS diagram in the instructions for use with my Rx because it is different than my Rx. Could I connect the power input connector at Rx Ch8 and the black and yellow ESC wires at Ch7 ground and signal pins?

These are just the two plans that I have initially come up with- I'm interested in any solution if someone thinks there's a better way. I'm looking for the most secure/safe setup.

Thanks, ,Kip........

The signal wire needs to go wherever your throttle is, so if your throttle is on channel 7, that is where it should go.
Are you going with SPort or PWM, because if I am not mistaken, you use one or the other as both would be "throttle", so if you have the blue wire connected to channel 7 the yellow one would not be used.
Not that it matters, but just out of curiosity, why are you connecting the power through two different pins?

Thanks for reply! Didn't notice it till now- very busy at work.

I haven't made up my mind on which of the three diagram schemes I want to try to use. I'm leaning towards the top one, "FBUS". Because the motor control has its own dedicated connection. SPort/telemetry would be independant out of the top port on the RX. I think I will have to configure the RX to FBUS if I go this way.

I don't believe I had intentions of having two connection points for power.
