Good job with the sales page header tool bar

Konrad

Very Strong User
I've noticed that half my jumps to the Aloft hobbies web site from this form results in the Header Tool Bar missing.

I've been using Safari v13.

Today all jumps to the Aloft hobbies web page from this form have resulted in the tool bar being present on the first loading of the sales site.

All the best,
Konrad

Hey Konrad.. I just wanted to double-check on what your'e referring to.. Are you referring to the outlined area in the image below? I've occasionally seen that when I first load the store page.. I don't know exactly why it does that sometimes but I'm not sure I've seen it since I moved from Safari v12 to v13 a few days ago. I don't even know if its just a Safari thing or perhaps others see It with other browsers too..

this happened to me once when i tried it after reading Konrad's post, but cannot replicate it afterwards. using Safari 12.1.2

Actually it was the tool bar, not the header that has given me issues. I think I've seen it after I upgraded to Safari V13.

I'm not sure what reading my post has to do with it, other than maybe putting someone to sleep. Maybe it put the browser to sleep.

Hmm.. I'm trying to remember but I KNOW I've seen what you're describing but can't 100% recall whether the rest of the header was gone too.. Please capture a screenshot next time it happens (if It happens) and I'll pester the peeps that are supporting that stuff and see what they say.. I know with prior versions of Safari it was something I regularly saw..

Use Chrome. LOL

I rarely jump between the 2 pages, so never ran into. I usually have a couple of tabs open for the sites.

Chrome, that's a google product? I already use far too many Alphabet Inc products! Need to spread the love around.

I do toggle between the two sites trying to help the membeship.

Well it just happened too me again. It looked just like you discribed in your post, the header & tool bar missing. Sorry I failed to screen capture (Shift Command 3).

Thanks, but for all I know the problem might be on my end with how my machine renders the page. I can say that the number of misloads has gone way down.

My concern is that anything that doesn’t allow the page to load properly can only hurt business, more so for an internet store. Even having to refresh the page might be annoying enough to drive some off.

All the best,
Konrad

Ok.. I got a reply back from the peeps that maintain the store "logic".. This is what they said -- I guess this falls into the "oh-well" bucket..

We've noticed overall that Safari as a browser has had more and more bugs and it's getting harder to support.

Thanks for letting us know and we can certainly pass it along to the technical team but at this time we do not have a fix for it. If we end up finding a fix we will let you know.

I'm not sure its any more buggy than any other browser -- certainly not more buggy than IE. Its my browser of choice -- I almost never use Chrome or Firefox -- maybe a few times per year.

Well, 13.0.1 hasn't address the issue. Still only getting partial rendering of the Aloft sales site when moving to it from this forum.
Coming from other places on the web the sales page comes up fine.
