I have some very simple goals with this forum. They are:

High Signal to Noise Ratio
I'd like to see this forum be a helpful forum with a lot of useful content that is easy to find. Less jibber jabber. In general I'd say we hit this goal very well.

Friendly
I'd like users to support one another and the hobby. Seems to be a lot of hate that runs around in other social media circles, we do not need that here. We are in the hobby for enjoyment and learning. We are not here to bicker. I want people to feel welcomed and valuable on this site!

That's really about it. I figure if we can maintain these simple goals, then we have made something great.

You as a member of this community are asked to please keep these 2 goals in mind and post appropriately.

Quick question, why should, all of sudden, my credit card not be accepted at the store? my bank says there are no problems!

Hey Tom,

We have made no changes on our end. We occasionally a card issue and it is usually the customer's bank declining the transaction, a phone call to the bank usually fixes the issue.

Also, we accept a wide range of payment options. Zelle, Paypal, Checks, rare gems, old sandwiches, lumps of coal. So maybe one of the other payment options would work better? (Only send us Zelle if you really trust us as you have no way to get the money back, we DO NOT abuse that trust. (Insert evil laugh here.))

Ever since it was started, this forum has been moderated well. There is no tolerance for trolling, no hate, and no other kinds of Kaka that we all dislike so much.

People share information and are friendly and helpful.

That's how it should be on the forums and across the entire hobby.

Looking at some of the other forums, and one in particular, I wonder why people participate in this hobby if they are filled with hate and venom.

What is funny is I can see all of the deleted posts in this thread.. I think it is safe to say this thread gets spammed more than any other. Must be something magical about this thread that attracts the spam bots.
