does anybody know a shop where to buy this item?

https://www.facebook.com/glidercg/?...MLjxV5_vKv918uWzXZsP3cFgvREMJGVK6&__tn__=kC-R

sorry for the monstrous link, in this section it is not so easy to fix links.

It is a digital angle/throw meter called GliderThrow and does things easier: like ail diff ail to flap and other mixing easy to reproduce and also to test flown setups on other planes and/or to understand what works and what dont

Cheers
Chris

On the vid is not a F3K plane, it is a MAXA for F3J or F5J (a well known plane)

due to the fact that the computer can not embedd the above, please klick and visit their FB page if more infos needed.

A shop in Spain is likely not what you are looking for. This is where I bought mine from. It looks exactly like the one Aloft is selling. There is a shop in Germany (http://mahmoudi-modellsport.eu/) selling a very similar product. And Leomotion (www.leomotion.ch) stocks it as well. For anybody with nice planes, particularly if there are different ballast options to play around with, those scales take a lot of hassle (scale & excel) or uncertainty (thumbs) out of the equation. The precision is stunning.

I know the hassle and uncertainty which can be deleted by a nice flight path -> proper CG
The cg scale is not their latest product for modelflyers.

My concern is the new development of a throw meter. It is about two cubes that can interact with a smartphone device to determine throw settings. Measuring two angles at once. I think the benefit is that each wing side, or two AIL, or two FLPs can be measured once. It makes the transmitter setup process more user friendly -> Glider Throw

Interesting. It seems he read up on our project and made up his own variant.

Our new tool will be several tools in one. A CG scale that will work with nearly any model plane regardless of size and layout up to 10lbs. It will also have the ability to measure the following angles:
  • flight surfaces
  • incidence
  • thrust angels
We have worked hard to keep the price nice and low but the feature set is very rich. We are working on the mechanicals and that has been greatly slowed recently, but should be getting back on track soon. Electronics and programming testing has gone very smoothly.

I have an early test model which probably does not have so many of the new features but boy it works well!

Hi Wayne,
this sounds quite interesting, when will we see it in the store?

would be nice to test some new devices. As a customer I have to be patience and wait till it is on the market.
The feature sets by the hard working people is known. The hardware is not unknown like the AT Wizard uses a comparable method with chord length as Input value and given back the angle of the measured deflection:
https://stein-elektronik.de/Shop-2/AT-Wizard-V2-jetzt-mit-eingebautem-Akku

The gliderCG issue is (testing by CompPilot's) that here the two cubes are communicating with each other and that is a great software solution that can be offered. I rarely use the same deflection on flaps and aileron and that can be measured at once. Magnetic mounting is also a new feature.

Another short off-topic I recognized. Some Brands offering today a template for their attainable settings:

Our angle sensors will be small and light enough to be attached to very delicate aircraft like DLGs.

there is a picture to compare size
2018-11-10-14-23-37.jpg

I found it on the glidercg HP. The two boxes can also measure wing incident. They have another tool or clip to compare the front with the tail.
Friendly Regards

Hello
if the number behind the comma doesn't matter, this will be an option to control the throws of any rc-plane:
it needs additional power supply, no problem for modellers...
Cheers Chris
