Very nice. Love the plane too. We really should start up a vintage RC plane section. Must of my staff are building up vintage birds right now for our local SAM27 club.

I hope these pictures help. I first removed the five pins that the original AM module plugged into. Just heat from the rear of the board and they will drop out. An alligator clip attached to the pin on the opposite side of the board adds weight so they drop easily. The center pad needs a solder bridge to ground for the meter to work. It's the one with the white wire in the picture. I attached the DHT ground wire to a nearby pad to make soldering easier. Also, the two wires near the antenna base ( See pic ) MUST be reattached for it to work.

But I don't see the two wire at the antenna base (ground plane). Is this at the base on the 2.4 gHz or 72mHz anttenna?

This is a picture of a factory, untouched radio, viewed underneath the antenna mount. You have to remove the four nuts and bolts if you want access to the rear of the board. Simply be sure to reattach them to the case even if you use a different mount. The white wire used for the AM antenna is not needed and snipped. The earlier picture of this is of the new DHT mount installed.
