FrSky X4r bad servo channel?

Hi
I am pulling my hair out (what I have left anyway)
I bought a Several items including a Horus X10 and 2 receivers, A X4r and S6r.
I charger transmitter and then sit every thing aside till last week. I worked up the nerve to flash the Tx to opentx 2.2.4 after finding a nice club that's cheap and getting 3 planes near airworthy.

I had zero issues with the 6ch Rx, but the X4r is driving my nuts. The aileron, elevator, and throttle channel work just fine. But the Rudder channel jitters like crazy and does not respond to the stick.
The Tx channel range is set to 1-4, mode is D16.
I din't use any jumpers when binding.
This Rx is going in a 4 channel trainer using futable s148 servos.
Do I need to jumper something when binding?

Ken

Which X4R? Some are actually 3 channel with the "4th channel" being the 16 channel S-Bus output.

This is the 3 ch PWM RX. Note the 3/16 designation.

Couldn't find this on on aloft sales page so I had to go to the FrSky site. This is the 4 ch pwm rx.

Yeah I realized that there are 2 different units, after a lot of farting around and after my original post.
So I pulled up the original order. Ken
FrSky X4R-SB - 3/16 Channel Receiver with Sbus and CPPM

So it is working as designed?

Have you removed the case (paper wrapping). The nomanclature should tell us what you have. Not sure I'd trust my sales invoice.

All the best,
Konrad

Definitely says X4R
I made a jumper and jumped the signal pins for channels 2 and 3 while rebinding. Didn't make a bit of dif.

They both say that.
The black covered should say "3/16 channel Telemetry"
The white covered one is th 4ch PWM RX it should say "4ch Telemetry"

Jumping signal pins 2&3 will get you into CPPM or S-Bus modes. The old analog Futba 148 is a PWM servo. Not sure where you are going with the jumpers.

Making up jumpers? Didn't the RX package come with jumpers?

All the best,
Konrad
