Frsky X18 running ethos wont load images

After updating my new Frsky X18, my plane images won’t load. The images are still in bitmap and models folders but load to “pictures”.

When you plug the USB cable into your radio your PC will find two mem drives pop up. One is called FLASH, this is the mem location on the CPU chip and is NOT where you load model images. The second drive will have a number of folders including audio, bitmaps, RF, scripts. So click on bitmaps then models. This is where your radio wants to find the model images. So the images have to be in a format the radio can use, so if you use your phone to create images you need to use ETHOS Suite to transcode phone images into images suitable for the radio to read them.

I have already done that. The pictures are loaded in bitmap/bitmap but the “picture” function will not work. I can see all the images and have opened them up many times, but I have not been able to load any images to the selected model.

The images need to be in the bitmap folder, not a folder called bitmaps in the bitmap folder.

There is also a setting in the radio for the X18 for where the images will be stored, please check that setting. It may be assigned to the SD card.
All of my internal switches are set for the radio. This radio was working great until I upgraded the soft ware because it was out of date. I have removed all of the model images and RESET radio to factory specifications. I will not upgrade again.
