HORUS X10S INCOMPATIBILITY WITH RECEIVERS
Aloft repaired my Horus 10S and updated (new firmware and RF board) back in January. I have not been able to get flap servos, channels 7 and 8, to work. I believe there is an incompatibility issue between Horus TX and RX (several G-XR8s). Horus firmware is V 2.3.14-otx, receiver is ACCST V 2.1.2. Suggestions?

The RX appears to be in S-Bus mode. This is called out in detail in the pamphlet that came with the RX.

P.S.
Ch 7 & Ch8 don't output a PWM signal in S-Bus mode. These 2 pin sets are used as S-bus and in and out ports.

Also the LED indicating in S-Bus mode is blue. 8 Channel mode the LED is green.

Wow. Thanks. The person I got the transmitter from was a big Sbus guy. So now the question is how do I get it back to "normal" mode? Re-flash the transmitter or is there a setting I can change?

Thanks, again.. Simple process is to use jumper on signal of ch 1 and ch 2, then bind. Got and ch 7 and ch 8 are working normally.

hello, I have a doubt, when I buy x9d last year, I installed otx last version and everything was ok with accst s8r and gr6 receivers, issues begin with gr8 and a chain of telemetry lost-recovered...at 2 hundred meter of altitude signal lost...etc...then thinking that issues probably were due with antenna I unscrewed it and stupidly I turned on my radio, then the radio shows error antenna disconnected...after all, I sell my first accst receivers, buy Access, flash new otx, 2.3.14 and apparently things are ok...but however I've still noticed some rf signal low...could my rf main board be damaged? I will appreciate any advice... thanks, and how can I prove that, actually I'm flying well with R6 receiver...but occasionally send rf signal low at 400 meters, don't know if is due to rf phone towers signals that are close to the flying field?
Should I replace rf board, is easy to install or need i to send you?

Yes, running the module without an antenna can and usually will cause some reduction in range. A new RF board or you can use an external module in the radio will do the trick.

I have a FrSky Taranis Q X7, and I made a boneheaded mistake. I didn't remove my prop when working on my plane, and when the motor went wide open, the TX was what stopped the plane. Now I have a damaged LCD screen and encoder knob (the knob on the right). I'm an electronics tech, and am capable of replacing these myself, but I cannot find parts anywhere in the US. Do you carry these parts, and how would I go about ordering them from you?

Those things happen, I have a collection of old (new stock) radios that we tore apart for parts. In the bins I have located an LCD screen and an encoder knob.

Update - May 30, 2023
We are no longer going to maintain our transmitter repair factuality at Aloft. We no longer have the demand as the FrSky radios are pretty rock solid these days, and FrSky opened up their own warranty center in California. Should we have the need for service we will be sending the radio back to FrSky for warranty repairs.

We will continue to be available for common issues like broken switches or antennas and we will continue to stock commonly needed spare parts to keep everyone going. We will continue our other FrSky services like receiver updates and repairs, firmwares, etc. But are dropping the transmitter repairs.

This will allow us to focus on future projects that we think you will all enjoy a little more.

dang, I have a Taranis x9d I been meaning to send in, it started intermittently that the SA switch doesn't work, I thought it was a bad switch and upgraded all the switches.
but the SA switch still don't work. where else should I look? radio is in mint condition, shame to waste it.

Have you checked on the hardware page to make sure that it is on and set to 3 pos?
Also inspect the wires. Sometimes they get pinched when disassembling / reassembling and the wire breaks inside the insulation...

If you would like to send it in to FrSky's service center in Brea Calif, let us know and I'll dig up the details for them. But parts for the older X9D and X9D+ are rare these days, other than the basic switches, etc.
