FrSky Radio Training School

It would be nice to be able to go to a forum that has a step by step training section for all of us new FrSky radio users. It must be simple to use and go step by step on how to do everything a beginner needs to know. From installing the SD card and then the battery. Also explain what the 2 or 3 pigtails on the battery connect to.
I did purchase a User Manual from Aloft for my X9D+ but I still don't understand how to proceed to binding and flying.
I know this sounds like 1st grade knowledge but if we can learn from this forum, we will return here to ask questions and purchase the items we need to keep flying. Ok thanks for listening.

I think the Lothar manual has a glossary of terms. I admit the FrSky site is a bit light on user interface details. And then there is the university of YouTube. I like the series by Painless 360.

Here if you can break down your issues there a some good folks that can help. But you need to help them help you. What are your issue? What battery do you have? Photos help a lot? But that multi wire lead is generally called a balance lead. It is used to monitor the individule cells while charging the battery. Most TX lipo batteries use the leads at ether end as the power take off lead (total battery voltage).

Not a bad idea.. We can certainly look into doing something like this once we get caught up with our big project we are currently buried in. Hmm..

I agree it's a good idea but do understand it would be a huge project for a company like Aloft. In the past I have sent my transmitter to Aloft for repair, but the cost of shipping has gone way up. I live in FL now.

I am currently having a problem with the firm ware on my original X9d that's updated to 2.1.9. a lot of the problems are caused because a lot of people laying out a step by step fix will tell you to use a tool or download that they just expect us to know how to use when we don't.

I have been trying to update my firmware and have gone to several sites including You Tube but have not had any success. I am sure I can do the update if someone could walk me through it.

Put mine away. It’s for sale.
too much for me, very frustrating.
Any new system can be really frustrating at the beginning. I would recommend to you to give it another go! After the first few models it becomes a lot more intuitive to use. You’ll be glad you did 🤙🏽

When I first got involved with FrSky, I found Scott Page's how to videos on YouTube very helpful.

I hope this helps. No doubt there are many more helpful videos out there.
