Is the R-XSR compatible with the Ikon2 FBL? I have two, one wouldn't even bind and the other I can't get working with the FBL. The only way I can get any signal to the FBL is with a FrSky X4RSB using the servo cable. Basically, the JST-XH connections don't seem to work. Tried both Futaba/SBUS and FrSky settings for all. Maybe some pictures would help.

Sorry, I do not know anything about the Ikon2. If it takes normal Sbus, then it should be fine. I am not aware of any tricks with this receiver.

Figured it out. The yellow wire needs to be moved over one to SBUS out.

I'm trying to do the same, can someone point me to some better documented instructions for connecting R-XSR with F.Port to Ikon2?

Thanks,

This is the setup that uses the MSH 51645 Inverter adapter.
The inverter is powered (3.3v) coming from the SAT-1 port.
The receiver is powered (4.5v~10v) coming from CH-3 port.
Full telemetry supported.

This setup eliminates the need for the inverter.
You have to solder your own wire on the receiver.
Full telemetry supported.

Ain't nobody got time for that!?
Move the S.Port wire to the SBus Out pin, and configure your IKON2 / BRAIN2 as Futaba S-Bus.
Limited telemetry (RSSI and Servo Voltage). Maybe that's all you need.

Thanks Mark, I this is clearer then some of the other information I had seen. I was specifically interested in making F.Port work. I think my problem was (is?) that I didn't go back and remap the input channels when I switched input wiring. Ended up using a X6R in the heli, so this question is academic for the time being...

I was finally able to get the IKON2 to connect over F.Port, using an ACCESS firmware. I needed to solder my own wire to the inverted S.Port pad on the bottom of the RX4R receiver. And run that wire into the servo connector that goes into CH3 in the IKON2. This gives me full access to all the telemetry that the IKON2 can deliver.

Sweet - thanks for sharing. So many different flight controllers it gets hard to keep track of what they all need.

Just wondering if this is going to be difficult to set up.
