Hello All

Can anyone explain me how it works with the all the FrSky Firmware.

I have a Taranis X9D Plus SE (NON 2019 model)
As i understand this transmitter uses and old RF Board and do not support the new ACCESS protocol, correct?

Still a lot of the RX that uses old ACCST protocol can use either ACCST and ACCESS protocol depending on which Firmware you flash to the RX, correct?
This i assume and like since it makes me able to still buy RX for my non ACCESS TX's, Taranis X9D Plus SE (NON 2019 model) and Taranis X9E.

Since i wanted to go long range i bought the R9M 20119 TX module with a R9 RX.
These are marked with blue shrink tube and labels also NON EU.
Now my question is can these with depending on firmware flash use both NON EU and EU LBT frequencies?

More confusing comes when i go check the firmware for the R9M TX and R9 RX on the Fr-sky download page.

I can download 3 different firmware: ACCESS, ACCST and FLEX.
I assume that since my X9D Plus SE can't use ACCESS, the ACCESS firmware for R9M is not an option, correct?

Regarding the ACCST firmware there is both NON EU and EU LBT Firmware, this leads to my question if the hardware R9M TX and R9 RX is capable of using both 915mhz and 868mhz ?

When i comes to the FLEX Firmware it looks like to me this is a merge of the NON EU and EU LBT firmware in one firmware making me able to switch between both EU LBT and NON EU frequencies on the radio, but is it still ACCST protocol or???

in general which firmware shold i use on my R9M and R9.

I know i ask a lot but it's so confusing for me at the moment.

Thanks i advance :)

Which region are you in. EU LBT is for European countries, Non EU is for most other countries, USA, Asia, Australia etc. This answers half your questions.

I am in the EU and i am aware that different firmwares is intended to be used accordingly to your region.

OK you are in Europe so use the EU version of either the ACCST or ACCESS firmware on your R9M and R9. The ACCESS protocols are determined by the module and receiver you are using not the radio as it supports both.

I am aware that i am in EU and should therefore use the EU Firmware!

I am still looking for and explanation of what the Flex Firmware consist of and which protocol it uses?

Flex firmware is supposed to be able to auto select between EU/FCC. It won't auto select between ACCST and ACCESS.

That is not correct.

Flex is EU/Australia (868/915) and doesn't autoselect. No FCC at all.
The difference between EU and Flex is that Flex lets you select all the power levels instead of only those that are legal. So technically illegal to use in most places.
