There's also Mike Blanford's firmware that allows D8's to work with D16 so you can keep using D8s with an X20 even without a module.

I've just bought the DJI FPV drone and managed to get it in my hands a few hours before the official announcement... am I in trouble?
DJI has a MUCH better track record though.

Quick update - Been pretty busy here lately.
We will be offering both a pre-buy and a no purchase waiting list for the X20 and X20S. Waiting for FrSky to confirm how many we can expect. Should have this all rolled out tomorrow.
For now you can play with the Ethos sim on your PC:
The Sim is not as nice an experience as the radio itself. This is still beta software, but FrSky was nice enough to develop a SIM for you all to play with. I think FrSky will release Ethos for the X10 Express soon.
Also, sounds like Lothar will be writing the manual for Ethos!! That is great news.
So far I can say that Ethos is very easy to update on the X20, and I really like Ethos so far. They are adding more pre-canned mixes as we speak, but it looks really encouraging so far. There are a lot of nice little touches to the firmware I really love.

Wayne, I posted elsewhere re choice between X10S Express and X-20. Since I have 40 models on X-12 it would be a lot easier to migrate them if I stayed with OTX and used Companion plus also have the X-Lite on OTX.. I don't need Tandem really since I fly in rural location and LOS. So in some ways X-10E makes sense.
I am curious is the overall build quality of the older X-10S is as good as the new X-20 and if you think it will be around for a while and supported. Are the gimbals and switches as good? Thanks. You have seen both and I'd love your opinion.

Horusrc is saying availability is end of march. I would love to get my hands on one of these and a tandem rx before sunset. @Wayne we could try our idea of long rang FPV slope soaring with the Dji air unit on something. With a really loud alarm that is lol.....and maybe on the last day of sunset so i dont lose it on the first day

We have posted up the pre-buy for the X20. Will get the X20S up soon. Check my write up, I'm sure it has lots of spelling errors, etc, but I tried to give a much deeper description of the radio and Ethos than I have seen others offer.

Got a blue one preordered. Tandem not needed, i mainly wanted a longer range setup for peace of mind and had been waiting for these to come out to start trying the R9 stuff.
