I am getting started on a Serafin build, but I thought I would mention the 2m FrankenRadian that I just finished and maidened because I am really impressed with this glider. The glider uses a standard Radian Wing on a plans/short kit built pod and a boom fuselage that uses a .4 inch diameter CF boom that is impressively light and stiff. . It is simple and inexpensive to build. Mine came in at an AUW of 19.1 oz using Emax 3301 servos, an Emax 2212 980 kv motor, a HW 20A ESC, Tattu 450 mah 3S lipo and GR6 RX. There is oodles of room the fuselage and no nose weight is required. I was blown away at how nicely this plane flies. It is very stable yet turns nicely with just the tiniest aileron/rudder input. I really liked it. I am not an experienced glider pilot, just an old duffer that likes building and flying, but this plane flies beautifully and looks good doing it.
Dennis Summers has a build thread, plans, and a parts list here ( with links to Aloft where I got mine) . https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?3942055-FR1-Frankenradian-(With-Plans)/page3 I posted a few more pictures here on page 3. Plans, parts list are on page 1 of course.
