Forza 2.5

Hi Yotaman, I'm really happy with my electric installation and I don't think I'd change anything tbh. It's really easy to set up at the slope, just take the canopy off and slide the battery in. Really easy. I may still put some carbon tows along the canopy opening to prevent splitting. Maybe ... πŸ€”

Component wise, if I was buying all from scratch, I'd try and save a bit of weight with a lighter motor with similar power. The tenshock geared or xpower storm at around 140g as recommended by hyperflight in the UK. Should save around 70g in total. I already had the motor esc and batteries from my e typhoon (RIP) so reused those.

Keep us posted on progress with your e fuselage build πŸ‘

Thanks Martin, I appreciate the info. I will be buying the components new so Ill take a look into those options.

I probably wont have time to start it for a little bit but I will be sure to post updates once I get around to it (y)

First flight of the e Forza at the slermal site in northern France. No wandering cows this time!

Wind was only 10-15 mph and not the optimal direction. Just enough lift to maintain height - time to fire up the motor… :)

Perfect for fast passes and massive aeros. 150m diameter loops? No problemo

Great fun, thanks Doc.

Visited the guys at Aloft today and picked up my E-Forza fuselage and got setup with a motor/prop while there. Im not looking for a speed demon with this setup but more of a fun all round powered sport glider.

Went with an Xpower F3826/10 motor and 11x10" prop. Thought I had an aluminum spinner for it already but havent found it yet. I did find this GM carbon one though. Its a 40mm spinner and is just a touch smaller than the fuse but should work alright.

Anyways, super stoked to get this one going 😁

You’re gonna love it and I love your colour scheme. I flew mine today in quite challenging conditions (turbulent) and it’s epic. When things were looking a bit tricky, a quick blast of power and all was good again :) Landing super stable as usual even with the wind all over the place.

Photos to follow….

I just noticed, Jeremy - that is an E-Corsa. Not an E-Forza.

Doc.

You’ve got the speed bug eh Martin? As Doc J rightly says, a Toccata E with the right motor and prop will undoubtedly go like stink!
The speed and energy retention in sloper format when ballasted, has to be seen to be believed.

I’d suggest you sell a kidney, and have a chat with Neil asap!

Haha, good idea Jonty. Only problem is that I already sold a kidney and my left testicle to buy the Forza πŸ™‚

Good flying yesterday and I managed to catch a few thermals with the e Forza. Quite surprised at how well she thermals πŸ‘

Back home to UK tomorrow and work on Monday πŸ˜•
