Folding pusher prop

I need a 10x6 folding pusher prop for a Skywalker X6 build. I'm using this airframe to configure and test FrSky SxR receivers. Never flown an elevon controlled wing before, or used a folding prop, so I don't really know what I need. Aloft has the Aeronaut Cam props, but what else and how do I set it up for pushing? Any suggestions?

I don't know what a Skywalker X6 is but as for pusher folder it's no different from tractors. Just make sure the hub and spinner allow the blades to swing freely to the fully open position. With the Aeronaut props I like to use the larger hub center section than one would normally use with the spinner. This allows pivot point to be further away from the spinner cone allowing the blades to fold back without need to relieve the spinner too much. I do like to use the spinner to keep the prop blades from folding back over the motor center line. Make sure the blades can't fold over the motor center line. In normal tractor configuration the fuselage itself ensures this.

Oh, and reverse the rotation of the motor so that the tractor prop blades are rotating the correct rotation relative to the blade pitch

There is typically a little fiberglass part or spring that can be added to keep the blades from folding over the centerline of the motor shaft. This is critical in a pusher configuration with the folding prop. I usually make mine from some fiberglass plate and add it to my spinner. If you d not limit the blade travel, if both blades fold to one side of the motor shaft you will have a huge balance issue when you try and start the motor. Probably rip the motor off the plane.

With a folding prop you will always want to set the brake on your ESC. This stops the blade from turning and allows the blades to freely fold back. DO NOT overtighten the blade screws!! They can actually be loose, centrifugal force does not allow them to go anywhere. Some spinners use pins instead of screws to keep people from over tightening them.

Yep - I keep saying I'm going to make some up from carbon for less, but never do.. :(

Just kidding ...

but not really.

I think I've actually encountered this folding-over-the-centerline issue before on the Skywalker X8 our project team has...("so that's why the motor fell off...")

Does anyone have a link to or a picture of the fabled fiberglass thingy?
