Flashing a new FrSky S8R RX with Stabilisation using a FrSky Taranis X9D SE 2019

Hi there. I have just bought a FrSky Taranis X9D SE 2019 and a FrSky S8R RX with Stabilisation.
When I flash the S8R using the LUA method, must I swap the power lines that plug into the Taranis or has this been changed to be like standard servo lines?
I will only need stabilising mode, auto level mode and nothing else, not knife edge or hover mode as I intend to use my RV7 for FPV.
From what I read and see (mostly: http://rcdiy.ca/sxr-setup-s6r-s8r/#Enable_Quick_Mode_CH_5_6_Modes_Gain_Offset_Angles) the Quick mode seems sufficient for this. Is this true?

There is an SPort plug where in the battery area, I just run an extension from that directly to the SPort plug on the receiver, the SPort plug on the tx has the same pinout the receiver needs (positive in the center). Also, there is no Lua necessary for this, just drop the firmware into the firmware folder on the SD card, then in the radio, navigate to the firmware folder find the correct file and longpress. The menu will say something like "flash sport". Select that.

I have never used more than Quick mode myself.
