Flap question

I often actively use the flaps to hover the model in to land at the edge of the slope instead of going around the back for a landing. On most slopes, you can get down a bit away from the other pilots and helicopter the model in. Actually, it's safer for the model and the other slope flyers.

I am building a 3 meter REF glider. First time setting up flaps. X14 transmitter and a GR6 receiver. Flaps are on channels 5 and 6 and activated by the AB switch. I have it set for a slow down (1.5 sec) and fast up (0 sec). Works fine going down but when I retract flaps they come up at a slightly different speed. Just enough that I worry it might induce a roll. I am wondering if it could be a servo issue. I am using Emax servos. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Tom.
u also can check if your servos have slightly different speed values. Some rc servo checker can measure the degree per sec. Maybe this issue sums up to your servo delay setting.

how to setup flaps on the radio (switch, stick...) is another very subjective topic. And you have to like it.

when you move the flaps, can you see a difference in the speed of the flap deflection. If not, then roll can be environmentally driven. Repeat while flying, or check linkages and Tx setting. Servo Monitor is also a big help.for.such issues (modern transmitter can offer)
