First+ Build -- Control horn install

Haven't done this since I was in my 20s. I tend to buy planes that are RTF. I'm meandering my way through a First+ build. So far so good, but every once in a while I run into something I haven't done.

Lucky I don't get embarrassed by obvious questions...

Putting the control horns on my V-Tail (white in pic) and flaps/Ailerons (red in pic). The white one is a press-on, the red has threads, but no nuts came with the kit. Am I safe to assume that a drop of epoxy on each bolt will do the trick? Or do I go hunting for suitable nuts? I kinda figure once these are installed they're not coming off.

And while I'm at it, I'm using piano wire to connect to the control arm on the servo, with a zig zag bend at both ends. Anything else?

The red ones came in the kit? I have not noticed those before. Some folks have issues with the V-tail horns. I have had no issues with them and like them a fair bit.

I sometimes like to cut the pins and just glue the horns to the bottom surface, thus a cleaner look, but if you do this, check them before each launch just in case they caught some weeds and popped free.

Usually I will drop in a carbon fiber control horn for the flaps and ailerons. They are easy to make a shallow cut and then glue in. Never had one fail. We have a bunch here at the shop, but never got them up on the web site as we did not love the finished product. Need to get some good ones made up.
