Firmware verify on S8r??

Is there a way to know what firmware I received on my new S8r's from Aloft? My previous units have all been flashed to v171213. It would be nice to know if these already have v181108.
AFAIK, there is no way to "read" the version of current fw on the unit either with the stk unit or lua, unless I have missed something.
Also, is there any need to move to the latest version? I don't see many changes listed from 171213.

I don't believe there is a way to pull the firmware off the device, so I think the best you can do is upload the version you want. As to what has changed since 171213, it seems they fixed some voltage reading issue and "the bug". It would be nice if they listed what "the bug" was wouldn't it :)
