Ethos X20s radio/ lua script

I am having some problems self-check, some one said download lua script. I am unsure what this is and how to download it for my X20s ethos radio. When I looked at the downloads for the X20s under the downloads for the lua script it shows it for open tx, so I have not downloaded it and saved it to the script folder on my radio files. May I ask what is Lua script?

Which receiver are you trying to setup and do the self-check on? You only need a lua script for the newer Archer Plus or Tandem stabilized receiver. The lua script is only needed until support for the new receivers gets added into Ethos.
Do not use the lua script for OpenTX. You can find the correct lua script under the downloads for the receiver model you are working with.

You can think of a lua script as an extension to the transmitter's operating system or small application like you would install on your phone.

What version of the software is on your transmitter? When you say you are having "problems" with self check, what exactly are you doing? There is no need to install any extra Lua scripts. First make sure throttle (channel 3) is -100, then go to Model/Device Config/SxR and scroll down to Self Check. I have posted a short video here:

Both of my X20s transmitter are up to date. So let me get this right, I need to go to the receiver download page and fine what receiver I am using and do that download for the Lua script? I am using SR8 pro archer and SR10 pro. So in need to do this for both of my receiver types? Is this a download to the receiver or the transmitter? As you can tell I am new to all of this.
Thank you guys for the help

Those receivers do not require a seperate Lua script. Use the built in panels for SxR and SxR Calibration under Model > Device Config.
