Ethos deeper dive today..

Had a customer that needed some help with a complex Ethos program. He had picked up a rather complex template for a DLG and was having some issues. This was the first time I have played with an advanced program in Ethos. I will say it had me scratching my head a fair amount. There were a lot of uses of VAR and logic switches. I was able to poke around and make sense of most things, but the camber was not working. I could see the settings, but could not see where they were being "mixed". Well I finally found an older version of the template and the "mix" was found, seems the mix line had been altered in the other model memory, no wonder I could not find it. From there it was easier.

Like I said, this is the first time I have seen a program in Ethos that was using lots of logic statements and VARs to do some complex things. I will say this was OpenTX level of programming, and even in OpenTX I would have had to study it for a while to get a full grasp on what the original programmer was doing. But all in all, I was able to follow along and understand what was going on after a bit of study.

Anyhow, cool to see this done in Ethos!

Wayne, thanks again for your help. I spend Wednesday poking around was able to add "float mode", and the global differential trim (using throttle trim).
I'll continue to play around with it to learn about the various VAR and mixers.
Merry Christmas!
