Ethos - Basic mixer missing warning - (Ail-Rud)

Hi all.
I received my New Tandem XE a few days ago and all was fine, even after updating firmware on 5 Oct 23, to latest version (v2.2.4)

being new to FRSKY (Futaba for 40yr previous - but don't hold that against me.....), I found the ethos programming very intuitive and quickly created a number of models. all working correctly.
however, yesterday and today, I have been having a few problems.

1. If I create let say "Ail - Flap mix" then all is well except for one of the Flaps movement where it will move in one direction but not the other. all percentage weighting are as they should be. when I look at the Outputs page, then indeed, it shows for example CH5 (Flap 1) moving in only one direct. the stick moves in both direction on the display, but no RF when moved in one direction, the other direction is ok.

I have deleted the model file and created a new one but had similar problems. even once it was the standard aileron that only responded in one direction. tried different servos and receivers. no RF output on that particular channel in one direction.

2. Now, when I try and select select a new predetermined mixer (Ail - Flap) it says "Basix Mixer missing", not all predetermined mixer are missing, but I am still getting loss of RF output on a channel in one direction.

I have re- flashed the Firmware - No change
I have also Factory reset the Radio by the removal of"Radio.bin (As per YouTube video), shut down and have the radio create a new radio.bin on start up.

I have just created a new test model with the same controls, 2 Ail, 2 Flap, V Tail, and the mixer is now back and available.

However, when I am tweaking other model set ups, I get the above RF output in one direction in a random channel and can't resolve it until I create a new model again, but may still get the problem again.
Not sure what is going on, but I hope someone out there can help.

hi. I have deleted the set up file on the transmitter, and have now, after many more attempts, successfully created a new glider 6 servo set up. The success was the second attempt after the re-reload of the firmware again. The file seems to be working presently, but would like to get to the bottom this.

Attached is the back up from my PC prior to the new setting. not sure if this one presents any problem.

thank you
