ETHOS 1.6.2 safe to use ?

After the 1.6.0 mess I am not in any hurry to do another "upgrade" but I see the GPS telemetry is supposedly fixed and I would like to be able to use the map widget again.
Currently ETHOS reports my location as Greece vice Sacramento area, kind of adds new meaning to Global positioning.
Fortunately INAV doesn't trade notes with ETHOS so the return to home function won't be sending my plane on any international trips.

The Inav return to home is achieved within Inav as long as you have a GPS modual connected to Inav. The Ethos Greece issue is un related.

In general I very much suggest everyone keeps their Ethos radios updated. For now we simply suggest you avoid using the OTA (Over The Air) option, safer to use a cable on the S.Port.
