Canopy hold down figured out - just copying the method used on my Speedo. The music wire at the front and back of the canopy provide a nice downward force against the fuselage. Canopy is removed by sliding forward to disengage the aft pin so there “should” be no danger of it coming loose in flight since it can’t come loose from sliding backwards. Aligning the aft pin with it’s hole is manageable even though it’s completely hidden under the long overhang of the aft end of the canopy. The shallow vertical groove above the aft alignment hole helps with initial alignment.
A bolt through a wood dowel plugged into the end of the tail boom completes the balancing (earlier I forgot to include the folding prop blades).
