Dynamic 40, 60, 80 and beyond!

Technically do not need a Z-bend there, no way for it to come off the horn with just a 90.

The wind was 23 m/s or 51 mph and the wind direction was perfect. And all the models came home again without injuries =a wonderful day :)
D60 total weight 2410 g or 85 oz
Ballast 764g or 27oz

Worked for me, but needed our high speed bandwidth. Probably best to post them to youtube or similar and then link to them here. Our site is not designed around video streaming.

Long since anyone has written anything here. I have built a D60 No. 2 I was thinking of sharing some photos.
With small upgrades:)

Fantastic builds on both! Wow! I love that D60 tray! The only thing is I have had issues with those DS135MG's, I have since moved to the X10's and X10mini's.

Those D80's have a great whistle to them when they get up to speed DS'n. Love mine. :)

Heard from Joe and he is getting a couple of Dynamics. :) Joe is the creator of these fine planes. Good to hear from him, and great to hear he might be a little more active on the slopes.

I got a D60 for Christmas and have started assembly. I have a few questions…

What is the carbon rod (maybe 16 inches x 3/16 “) for?

How does the forward piece of fiber glass attach to the ballast piece of fiber glass? I’ve seen Joes D80 build. It looks like it’s only press fit together in the aft portion?

The aloft kit includes one long threaded rod, is this for the elevator push rod?
Are people mounting the elevator servo in the forward compartment these days and that’s what the carbon rod is for?

There are two medium length threaded rods that I think are for securing ballast.

There are three short threaded rods—what are these for?

There are three non threaded rods that I think are for mounting the tail. These fit quite well once the holes in the fins were cleaned up with a 3mm drill in a pin vice.

Over all an awesome kit!!! The wing is stiff as a rock and the fuse is built like a bomb. The finish is beautiful. Can’t wait to turn some laps.

Thanks for the help!

Not sure why you would have a carbon rod. Think that was a mistake if it was sent with your model.

Elevator servo goes in the little hatch in the tail. Direct linkage this way, no play in the system..

Ballast tray is interesting. Check post 80 on this link for the basics:

Be sure to check the D60 build thread on RCG too. While some of the products used are out of date, the build stays the same. Here is a link to the photos.
