Do I Need to Replace my XM+ receivers with M+ receivers?

I have upgraded my Horus X10S to EXPRESS so I can run ACCESS. I've updated my G-RX6 receivers with ACCESS firmware and they are working fine. I have also updated one of my G-RX8 receivers and it is working fine as well. However, I have two G-RX8 receivers that have XM+ receivers connected to them for redundancy.
1. From what I have been able to determine with my web research, the XM+ receiver cannot be updated with ACCESS firmware. So it appears I will have to replace my XM+ receivers with the M+ ACCESS receivers. Is that correct?
2. If I update my G-RX8 receivers with the ACCESS firmware will they then work OK with the M+ receivers? Or will I have to buy new Archer GR8 receivers?
3. On one of my G-RX8 receivers I am using an SBUS Decoder to provide a total of 10 channels. I'm assuming the SBUS Decoder is independent of the G-RX8 firmware and I should just disconnect it before I upgrade the G-RX8 firmware to ACCESS. Or do I need to leave the SBUS Decoder connected when I update the G-RX8 to ACCESS firmware?

#1 Yes, if wanting to move over to ACCeSS
#2 G-RX8 on ACCeSS will work with M+ on ACCeSS. Note; all three RF units need to be on the same revision number. Strongly recommend that you upgrade to ACCeSS v2.x.xx this is for the TX ISRM and both RX's. If staying with ACCST again all 3 rf decks need to be on the same high level revision number. Again strongly recommend updating all RF to v2.x.xx.
#3 It is a good idea to perform all FW updates with the RX free of anything that draws or could draw current from the S-Port bus bar. Note if there are no servos on the the decoder, the decoder itself wouldn't draw much in the way of current. But don't allow the decoder to drive servos from the S-Port bus bar! (There is no update to the decoder as part of ACCST or ACCeSS protocols, best to leave it disconnected durring all RX FW updates).
