Do I have this right? Protocols and receivers

Something that drew me to the FrSky side was the dual band 2.4 and 900mhz for high reliability. It seems that is only available with the "TD" receivers? My Archer Plus GR8 uses Access but is not TD capable?
So do I need the TD as a sport E-glider pilot?
What if I'm a thermal pilot flying 800 meters away?

I had some VFR and RSSI warnings on my first flights.

Thanks!

Austin - Correct, for dual frequency you want to use Tandem receivers. With this said, depending on the field and the glider and most importantly the receiver install, the Archer plus may well be a good choice for you, but if you start to get warnings, then a Tandem is for sure a good investment for your flying style.

With this said, VFR warnings should be taken seriously! I'd look at moving the antennas around to better locations in the model to start with. This may well cure your issue.

Sure is nice to have warnings, rather than wrecks!
