D80 Wire Harness

Highside

New User
I was assembling my D80 that I recently bought from Aloft and while installing the wing servos noticed that the wire harness was not working on one channel. I pealed back the shrink cover and saw one joint that had a very bad solder. No biggie, but when I emailed them they told me that no harness is included in the kit (implying that I was lying about the harness), crazy. Both of the D80s that I ordered had the same wing harness included and it looks like the same harness I see on all the other D80s on the slope.
My question is where can I get this harness, and who is mysteriously jamming them in D80 orders without Aloft knowing?

Hmm,

Perhaps Frank started making harnesses and including them with the hardware bits he includes with them. If he is, that is new. In the past he has included wires and the 6 pin connectors, you would have to solder them up yourself. Thus our statement to you. Very sorry for our error. The manufacturers sometimes make changes and we do not discover this until a customer lets us know.

We do have our 60" one piece harness:

These are professionally made and should work well for you, but there is a problem, the wires are not long enough to reach all of the servo pockets in the D80 as the harness was intended for 60" planes. So you can lengthen the wires as needed via servo extensions or via some soldering.

Hope this helps. If you like, shoot us another email and I'll send you this harness for free.

The quality of the supplied harness looked very poor. I would trash bin that! I will have a conversation with Frank about this.

Thanks for the reply, I've already got that 60" harness on order and I think it will work fine.
