Curtis Jenny, on the drawing board.

I took a diversion and developed a couple of wings for the Aeroscout, one being 47" wingspan, wider chord then the stock one, bigger dihedral, meant for slower flying and a good platform for learning how to fly and another, swept back version at 43" wingspan for more performance. Both have been shipped out to an expert pilot for final connections and evaluation before I take them to market as kits.

More progress on the Jenny, I redid the struts, and added some diaganal struts eliminating the need for adding rigging outside of for scale appearances.

Also, take note on the logo's, they were done in Ultracoat, cut up on the laser cutter.

Test fitted into place with both wings, winglets/fins are now shown on the blue, swept back wing version, ailerons not in place for the red, slow wing version. You now have options for Aeroscout Wings.

Next on the plate is a 26" wingspan Extra 300, it's going to come in at 250 grams or less with an insane power to weight ratio of 4:1. The fuselage is a profile making it easier on the builder and to develop on my end.

I'll be revising the fuselage on the production version to lighten it up since the CG is going to need it, so opted to cut some holes into the first one instead. I'm also making this one multi use, with the narrower ailerons so it can be flown as a sports model flyer and with the wider ailerons for 3d type flying. They are weighing up to include all of the gear and pack at 185 grams so far.

Adding some covering onto the Extra, I went with my favorite Ultracoat Parklite for the fuselage and yellow tinted Doculam for the wing. It's always best to build the model you design and fine tune from there for the production model.

The Aeroscout Slow wing version passed it's trials, a couple of minor revisions are needed but already have this and the swept back wing ordered and shipping out tomorrow for the first customer on the line.

I just have push rods and control horns and wing caps to install and the Extra will be ready to maiden. It will get landing gear at some point but largely not get used since I plan upon flying it in open field area that has no hard area to land at. This being a different direction on material use, mainly for the fuselage, 1/8" stock will be required to have more of on hand, and it does also take an entire sheet for each Aeroscout wing's ailerons. I ordered what was left of the 1/8" stock in the 3" x 3' stock, hoping there is more coming in soon, otherwise I'm only going to be quite limited as to how many I can sell as kits for the time being, the wider widths aren't going to be usable otherwise I would go for those too, wasting enough on the standard ones already.

I redesigned the fuse on the cardboard and balsa twin boom pusher and am re-assembling it to get it back in the air for testing, making this the 6th kit that will be offered from my line up. I weighed up all components, gear and pack and it's still quite light at 527 grams.

The Jenny is launched, giving Wayne a heads up for much more balsa orders soon to come to keep up with the demand on the kit orders.
