Corsa Maiden!!

Enjoyed these videos you are both developing a very nice flowing style. The Corsa seems to excel with that style of flying, very enjoyable to watch.

And whatever you are doing to post up on Youtube is worked very well. The clarity of the videos is far better than most. Shooting in 4K, 60fps, is a great start, but I have seen you tube still convert them poorly, so whatever you are doing, the quality is staying.

Beautiful day too! I'll admit I also enjoyed just checking out the clouds in the background. :)

Hi Jake, man you have such a fantastic backyard, and yes, your flying style is now way more focussed on flowing lines keeping the speed up. Just what all mouldies like for big, fast aeros!
I hope you don’t mind me asking, but are you still at your maiden cg of 91?

Thats what I love to see. A guy having really great fun with his model. Especially if I designed it~

I bet you had a grin on your face the size of a storm drain!, I know I did, just watching the videos.

Great stuff, Jake.

Cheers,

Doc.

Thanks Wayne! I'm having a blast with the Corsa!

Not doing anything special on the uploads to youtube so it must be Scott's phone settings. I'm glad you're enjoying the videos.

The clouds up on the hill are always amazing! It definitely adds to the videos

Next south I get down here you need to grab some buddies and come down!

Ya, I'm really lucky to have this place to fly!

I am still at 91 for cg but I'm feeling like I need to start moving it back a smidge now that I can fly it half decent.

Thanks Doc! Nothing but smiles flying the Corsa. I honestly can't get enough!!

Hi Jake, you’re going about things the right way. I can assure you that moving the cg back from where you have it will only make the model fly better in every way. As you move it back, you will likely want to use more expo on elevator, and a bit of an adjustment (more down throughout the curve) to the down elevator compensation for crow/flapped landing.

I won’t say “put the cg here” and quote a figure, although I could lol!

You love the plane now, but your Corsa with the cg moved back (it’s actually pretty nose heavy really) and say 1/3 to 1/2 ballast will groove like a fast classic pattern plane and still climb like crazy using thermal/climb mode, especially on your awesome hill.

Take it easy

Thanks for the info! I really appreciate it!

I kinda want to ask you where I should be aiming for with the cg but at the same time I think I just want to do it by feel so I can learn and feel the difference as i take some nose weight out. I'll be posting my findings for sure!

Jake
