Compatibility?

my Archer Plus GR8 receiver has built-in vario and works in my Frsky X9D radio. My radio’s telemetry works.great, but I purchased a FAS 100 ADV current/voltage sensor which I plugged into my receiver’s S-Buss. The sensor’s led is flashing “fast” as it should be, but sensor will not transmit data to the radio. What am I doing wrong. The sensor is newly purchased from Aloft, but it maybe for newer frsky radios.

It does not plug into the Sbus port. You want the S.port. One wire difference.

As I recall the fast blinking is an indication of no communication with the bus.

Sbus is channel data
S.port (sport) is telemetry data
F.port is a combo of both of the above

FrSky receivers tend to offer all 3 of the above options. Usually F.port is turned off by default.

I also used the 4pin port on top of the receiver. +/-/Ain1/S.port data. It still wont communicate. This receiver already has a built-in vario with an analog voltage sensor option but no other options. It works very well in my pattern plane. I wish the FAS100 ADV sensor had more compatability information.

Something I have run into is if the radios firmware is too old the radio will not know what to do with the newer receivers and sensors...
You stated that the radio is an X9d. Is that what it is, or is it an X9D+? What version firmware is it running?
