Checklist

Can anyone tell me how to add text checklists to my X18SE TX? I just got a new X18SE running Ethos. I have everything set up and working on a new EDF jet, but can't figure out how to add a text checklist on the X18SE. On my Horus X10S I have a checklist for each model that comes up when the TX is first turned on. These checklists let me know what LiPo battery to use, and what I programmed each switch to do. When you have more than 50 models it's easy to forget what switch does what on all the different models. On my new X18SE I added a checklist text file to the "models" file but the checklist does not show up when I turn the TX on, and I can't get it to open up either when I find it in the File Manager. Like in OpenTX I made sure the checklist file name was exactly the same as the model name. I suspect Ethos doesn't have this capability which is a shame; or perhaps I just don't know the correct method to add it to the X18SE.

I haven't used a checklist function like you are talking about but in the ETHOS manual on page 126 (p. 160-160 in the latest manual, procedure is the same as old version) it shows how to set up a "checklist" for each model. It has really good pictures to help as well. That seems like it will do most of what you are asking for but perhaps in a different format. I have used some of this function in a very limited way.

On startup it will give you a number of things to check, for instance what switches you have enabled and throttle check etc... not the text list but at least it's something. The checklist will give you a visual display and drop down lists of the switches etc. that you have enable and what position they should be in for startup. You can rename switches and sliders to what you would like ( landing gear E.G.) that can be included in the checklist. Those can then be set to your preferred pre-defined position before you can use the radio with that model. maybe @gnichola can answer this better. This function actually could be much more useful, if set up properly, than a text list but YMMV.
Hope this helps...

Kelly, thanks for the input. Unfortunately if you rename the switches to what they are actually used for, it renames them Globally; not just for the selected model. Guess I will have to make a request they update ETHOS to be able to use text checklists like OpenTX does.
