Carbon Falcon

found my spare ribs and got it fixed. i had forgot i ordered a spare set. did a glide test. went great! small adjustment to cg and was almost perfect. glided about 25 feet before it hit grass and the fence so i gave it a slight bit of throttle and off it went. did a couple circles around my neighborhood and street avoiding all the trees. and dropped it right in the front yard and proceeded to snap the prop. doh! it flew great. better than expected! tomorrow ill head to a larger area for a better sortie. going to need to get that folding prop!

when will that prop be available? i like the idea of the folding prop. i was going to maiden my falcon today. finally got around to building it. then last night i had it sitting in a corner of the room. wife walked in and stepped on the nose with her toe. broke the center wood rib..... she was looking in my closet for a Christmas decoration and didnt even see it. i heard the crack......my heart sank. going to try to make one. i have some 1/8 ply from my boat builds. edit. found the folding prop. what blades are recommended for the falcon?

its available already.
here is the link for the Folding Pusher HUb
and this is the recommended prop

I ordered props last night. I dont believe i got the correct ones. any way you guys can take out the smallest one and toss in the correct one for me? just looked at my email and it looks to be shipped already. last 4 of the tracking is 3679. not sure if you could remove the 4.5x3 and toss in the larger prop before it goes out. shipment is for doug gunter. if not no worries.

The guys are looking for it. We have a lot of shipping going out.. Update - they found it.

you guys are awesome. i sent an email about my control rods last night. i got ahead of myself and glued the rods too soon. cant get enough throw for up travel. what the cost for 2 control rods and the little control horns?

not sure if i did something wrong or not. got my falcon all fixed up with new control rods etc. washout. i cannot get 65mm. best i can get is about 50mm. throw is about 20 ish mm maybe slightly more. i have tried to make adjustments and the sail just gets tight and limits throw. ive flown it once and it flew good. ill take pics shortly of the setup.

edit. just flew it in the neighborhood and it did well. even got a loop in. lol. i think i know what the problem is that the servo arms are not in the correct position, hence not enough throw. will correct and try again when its light.

well may be a few days. we are getting pummeled up here in Washington with rain. i hate this time of year. lol.

Yeah, it is cold and dark down here. But not much rain so far. It won't last, we usually have a good storm by now.

were getting hammered up here. major flooding (im good i live up high). road closures everywhere. im just staying home.

Yep - It is building season.

On the plus side, the Carbon Falcon deals with the wet well, but the electronics need to be protected.

Flight testing of our V2 kits is complete!

The Falcon was a great model, but always room to tweak things here and there. A number of the frame parts have been redesigned and a couple of parts have been combined, thus a bit less building. The big change is our folding prop setup! With the new setup, 2S power is perfect, can't over power the model, but still has great vertical climb. So much fun. We have been flying them every day in the back pasture when the weather permits.
