You don't need to scroll anywhere. In the second image if any of the boxes are not green as in my second image all you need to do is click on the down arrow next to "Write outdated component" Ethos will do the rest.

What if I were to disconnect my Del G5000 desktop from the internet, then disable my PC Matic antivirus and disable any other security software using settings, then try and install either 1.63 or 1.70 update so software wouldn't be blocked, then change everything back to normal afterwards?
Getting complicated for something that is normally simple, did you not have an IT friend that was going to assist you ?

Well I either get a message "You do not have permissions to access the site or I get this Super Sheid has blocked your installation anyone else who has had this same problem and found a solution for it?

"Super Shield has blocked your installation" means PC Matic or a similar security program is preventing a new installation. To fix this, you can temporarily disable Super Shield, run the installer as an administrator, and then re-enable Super Shield. You can also add the program to Super Shield's exceptions to prevent it from being blocked in the future.

PC Matic is the best antivirus and malware protection I have ever used on a computer! It is far better then McAfee or several other antivirus programs . My IT friend told me don't ever use McAfee antivirus , it screws up a computer in many ways!Quick google result:

I think I am finally going to be able to update my X20S radio. I deleted PC Matic super Shield and right now I am installing the latest Ethos Suite, but it is installing very slowly! It says 1.70 at the bottom left corner, but a green bar is moving left to right at te top but very slowly! I'm just going to let my computer set. The radio screen shows USB connected. Presently it still shows version 1.4.12
By the way I downlaoded and installed Windows 11 which proved to be a disaster!!!
I found a way to restore Windows 10 and my PC is presntly running windows 10 and everything works again!

The green bar completed, but nothing happened to my radio!
I removed the uSB and tried to turn my radio back on but it wouldn't turn on!IT has a new bttery in it!

Well I hope this time updating my X20S works. I see a window that says please wait while ethos suite installs! At the lower left it says Ethos suite 1.70
There is a slow, very slow moving green bar going from left to right. MY radio screen says USB connected.So I hope the present version of 1.4.12 changes to version 1.70.

Ethos Suite 1.7.0 is the software on your PC.
Ed we have been down this road several times, in order for Ethos Suite to auto load new firmware to your radio you need to load boot loader version 1.4.15.
You indicated you had an IT friend to help you, I strongly recomend you enlist his help because you keep missing the important messages left in the series of help on this site.

How do I load boot loader version 1.4.15.? The Ethos Suite version I am trying to download into my rasdio is still trying to download 16 hours later.
