Can't update my FrSkyX20S

I am having difficulties updating my FrSky X20S transmitter
Everytime I try to update it, I first have downloaded the 1.6.3 update file have my USB cable connected from
my DELL G5000 desktop PC , I Get this message "You may not have permissions to access the item"
I have read a number of solutions and watched numerous videos on how to resolve the problem, but none of them work!
Has anyone else had this problem or found a solution?

Did you try to run as administrator the updating software on the Dell PC?

Yes I already tried that! Same result I keep getting the same message that I may not have the permissions to to access the item.
 
Have you thought about using EthosSuite? You shouldn't have any permission issues there. If you don't want to do that I think you need to provide a few more details. Your message says you do:
  1. download file
  2. USB is connected. I assume you mean connected to your radio.
  3. You see the permission message.
What caused the message to show up? Plugging in your radio? Clicking on files? To me, it is unclear what action triggered the message. This wouldn't happen to be a work computer would it? They could have policies prohibiting certain actions.

NO it's not a work computer but a private personal computer, with te uSB pluggedin and the radio screen say USB connected, when clickon the file I gt the message you my not have permissions to access the site

Ed - You need to be using Ethos Suite! Then follow the directions from that program.
Once in Ethos Suite you can also study the Ethos Manual:

I am using Ethos Suite but I still cannot update my FrSky X20S I ieven watched a FrSky reps video, but when I pull up Ethos suite, it looks much different than what he shows in his video
 
OKay I downloaded EThos Suite and scrolled down to vrsion 1.63 then found x20fcc an downlaoded the file. Hooked my X20S to my PC with a USB cord, I hav USB connected, and when I click on X20FCC nothing happens. I get a window with extract etc. BUt whn I click on exract nothing happens, apparently fils are not going to my radio. I am showing version 1.412
Am I doing something wrong? Perhaps someone could explain it step by step.
 
I am no longer getting the messaage You may not have permissions to access the site. I ended up totally restoring my PC and setting it all back up, a very lenghty process. I am still on Windows 10 which had support end on the 24th of last month. I took y X20S radio heldthe lower right button down then just pushed start to get bootleg on the screen, then hooked up the USB cord and it showed USB connected. Then clicked on the X20 FCC download ans all it shows on the pC screen is a small window that has extract at the top of the window

Is there another way to do it?
