Can an airplane file programmed in OpenTX on a Taranis TX be "dropped into" an Ethos TX?

I've read that Ethos is based on OpenTX, so my question is whether you can simply drop in a saved airplane file programmed on an OpenTX transmitter like a Taranis, into an Ethos transmitter like the X20. I realize you'd have to rebind the receiver and that sort of thing, but otherwise is this possible rather than having to program the airplane from scratch into Ethos. I'm thinking about upgrading from a Taranis to an X20 and just wondering how much time I'll need to spend converting all of my airplanes into the Ethos OS.
Thanks!

Not aware of a close programatic relationship with Open TX. But No, there is no programatic option to convert the files.

Ethos is so strong and the startup wizard so good that it won’t take near as much work as you fear.

Ethos is written by the same person that headed up the OpenTX group, but that is where things end. Vastly different cores, so no option to convert.

Like said above, Ethos is pretty darn easy and quicker to program than OpenTX.
