How is the weather/wind? Family obligations kept me from going earlier, but I'm thinking of shooting down with my 3.5yo son tomorrow morning.

Sorry I've been a bit MIA on the forum, I had a bit of family stuff going on. Great weekend, so good to see you all. Duke had an absolute blast. I spent close to an hour pulling out all the foxtails and all the other crap he picked up along the way, his hair was like velcro.

My buddy that had not flown for better part of 2 decades attended, and within about 2 or 3 passes he was rolling and flying inverted. That was great!

We stopped by Aloft hobbies on the way to sunset to say hi and as we were walking thru the warehouse i saw this old skyhunter hanging on the walls. I mentioned it, as it was something i had always wanted back when i was into FPV. Chris asked if i wanted it but it was really big and we didnt have much room. So Wayne suggested i take it as the combat target this year, which is something that i really really enjoyed doing the previous year with an old la fish i had cut. Chris did mention that he flew it with like 16,000 mah so would need some weight in the nose, even with the motor removed. We ended up using a water bottle and dirt, goriila glue, and trash to put in about 535g of nose weight. It flew really great, just slowed down in the winds.

It took several hits hitting the ground probably 5-6 times over the event. With repairs and tape keeping it going until finally one of the booms ripped free from the wing. I even added a silly sticker to it one evening.
