Out here at Sunset this afternoon. Blowing a solid 10 mph but at an angle. Got the Micromax up for a bit un ballasted and it flew well. Not quite enough for the Toy yet but we'll see if it picks up a little more

The wind never ended up picking up or straightening out so packed it in about 3pm. Flew the Micromax a bit and had a good time but didnt get the Toy in the air. Will have to wait until next time

I am apologizing in advance for the lack of attendance for me this year. I have been having multiple bakc issues, and ER runs this year. So I have been out of it a bit.

Hopefully someone could assist and help me trim the plants along the walkway up to the Sunset Beach flying area? And possibly the bushes around the flying area? I usually do this eavery year, but with my back out (annular tear in my disc) I cannot do it this year. I usually bring a electric trimmer and some big brach cutters for the thicker limbs. That would be most helpful.

Thank you all for the support and help you guys do every year. The best I like about this event is to see everyone. Flying is a second as I can fly thoughout the year at other locations as well as Sunset. So seeing everyone get together and talk about what everyone loves it so cool.

Time to start thinking about the Potluck Dinner and Raffle for Saturday night. Remember to bring your own plates, glasses, and utensils because they aren’t always provided. Last year we had some pretty amazing food for a potluck. I’m not sure if the potluck google doc is being used this year but if it is you can enter what food you’re planning on bringing.
Also, dig around in your shop for a old plane or really useful R/C related item that is in great shape or new that you don’t want or use anymore and consider donating it to the raffle. The last two years we’ve had some awesome items donated along with the contributions from @Wayne and DreamFlight who usually donate a couple of their planes each year. There have been some really cool balsa kits and built up planes as well. Looking forward to seeing everyone again this year.
