they both looked good in the sky. @Yotaman1985 had a lot of fun with cg and his big wing, although he did hit a flyable cg pretty quick. I had told him 22% i think prior to Sunset as far as a goal to convert that Cub wing to plank. @Yotaman1985 do you know what the end cg was that worked?
The happy follow up to this horrible accident is another pilot had an undamaged Hobie Hawk wing and gave it to the pilot and the model is already under repair.
Just put in a sunset parts restock order from aloft
I think next year im going to try and have a specific container for combat repairs. Not just for on the hill, taping up that skyhunter was super funny, but i mean for the bambam's or whatever we use for combat. We had some pretty good repairs this year. Been geeking out watching gridfinity videos (3d printed tool organizing).
Thanks @gp49 for the tungsten bits, they will be put to good use.
cordless dremel was getting used a bunch, that's a definite bring next year.
Thanks @Red for some generator power, those foggy mornings were not helpful on the solar. enough to keep the starlink and weather station running but not enough to recharge what we used during the previous work night.
After seeing 2 or 3 combat planes with ripped out pushrods I'm thinking of burying the rods in my next build. But my super light rods have never taken damage after many many years of combat. Sometimes lighter and smaller is better.
