Which is going to amount to a pretty big issue. If this were up to a vote I'd say leave it as is. I thought the situation worked out pretty well this last go-around.

There is always talk about the group campground, before and after each Sunset, but because of the price $$$ and limited parking (I think there is room for 10 cars) we always skip. Plus you would need to commit to at least Wed - Sunday, and maybe even Tuesday or Monday to get it. At $335 per night that's $1340 for the Wed - Sunday...
Did you get to maiden the SOAS? I finally got to maiden mine on Sunday morning when it was a slower moment. Flew fantastic. Some people have had trouble with the CG but mine was perfect per the plans. Couldn’t be happier with it.
On Sunday afternoon when most of the flyers left the campground, my nephew recorded some clips and made a short YouTube video on the post Camp n Fly 2024 event.
Jeremy (@Diceman), Nathan (@thenated0g) and I have been discussing grabbing the group site. We were looking to do this last year, but someone already snagged the spot prior to early reserve somehow. If we do this, this will be the new main camp site. Wanted to make sure you all are good with this plan. If you have not checked out the group site, it is a little up the hill from where Jeremy usually camps and it has a ton to tables, shade, pit pot toilets, running water (and sink as I recall) BBQs etc. Best of all a bunch of space for camping and vehicles.
It is not cheap though.
Here are some pictures from 2 years ago when we were checking it out.
The trail from lower camp is pretty nice:

Love the big fire pit!
In the past they have told us they would allow some trailers to be camped up there, and some spare vehicles. We would need to get their consent for that again, but they have generally treated us really well there. May be a few less racoons there also since it does not see as much use as the lower camp.
So to help with the over $300 a night, we would like to see a few more people help with the expense. We typically pull in Wednesday night and head out Sunday.
Regarding costs, when we used to have the group camp at Cape Blanco (hopefully someday it will return to use), we kept a log of who stayed each night, then divided the total cost by that number. Generally worked out well, but that did mean someone had to front the cost (in our case that came out of the club funds). It was also quite a bit cheaper, around $80/night if I recall.
We will need to make some calls to confirm the trailer will be OK, but when we checked in the past they were fine with that, and they generally made it sound like they were very happy with us and would allow some of the vehicle limits to be a bit more flexible at the Group Site. As it is they have been very flexible even at the normal campsites as long as it did not impact other campers. But I find it best to always touch base with current staff as folks move around in their jobs.
I'm suggesting a even split of the cost amongst the folks staying at the group site. Get enough folks in tere and it should be pretty cheap, probably cheaper than the normal sites.
