Those were the days. Love the pinstriped edges - how was that done?

Looks like a goody that you could quite possibly do some very silly things with...:cool::cool:.

In the UK we used to have the "Ridge Racer" - Or "Ridge Raper" as it was sometimes known. It actually looked quite smilar except the wing was on the top.

Old Skool. Bring back the ISR!!! ISR with a vintage race!!!

Yeah Baby!!!

Woo...dont quite know what came over me there...

Cheers,

Doc..

Attached are pics of the Ridge racer - that I forgot had a (not very good) glass fuse, and a Ridge Runner variant with a built up wing.

And my aileron trainer was a Ridge Rat, also had a wing on the bottom of the fuse, held on with rubber bands and dowels. I don't know if there's any relation to the Ridge Runner and Ridge Rat, but it was a popular aileron trainer in the 80's.

Always liked that plane. Reminded my of a Quickie 500 glow plane.

Ridge Rat was my aileron trainer too. :)

@Bruce Anderson, on of our local pilots built up a very nice one about a year ago. Maybe he will bring it to Sunset again this year. :)

Think Ridge Runt was a Hobby shack product and the Ridge Rat was a Pierce Arrow? I'm not aware of anything other than similar names.

Not sure I ever showed this one off. Started it the night before Los Banos last year, and never finished it. It is a 1 day build prototype to test out. Very little time spent on it. Today it is getting a fin mounted, then set CG and enjoy at Sunset.

With my jart's cg figured out (needed 28g in the tail sheesh!) i pulled out the big Pug Twisty (91"). I had forgot to bring it last year. Has some weird issues with the 2s 18650 battery i made, ill figure it out before sunset. Probably just throw a premade in.

I want you to fly yours exactly like this guy flies his. Extra squirrely.

I'd like to hear everyone's charging solutions while they're camping, if you could. I have a couple ideas but I'm not sure exactly what I'm gonna do. My buddy will have an RV camper so I think he may have an inverter, but I'm not sure yet and am wondering what people will will be doing in that regard.
I use a 32,000mah phone charger battery brick I got from Amazon that hooks up to my charger, super compact easy to use. :) via USB to XT60 cable.

Was chatting with Anton (AB models) last night/this morning just confirming the CG on that Yellow hawk that @Hawaii Sloper got from @Red . Just sharing this as i thought it was funny as here i am an American who only uses metric (mm/grams) when doing models and every time i have talked to him (southafrica/germany) about measurements its always been in inches.
