Camp n Fly 2022!!!

Got my Jalapeño ready sand then cover. Not sure what to build next.

That's a nice 'pepper'! Are you going to cover it green?

If you are building for Sunset, one of the things that everyone should have is a light HLG or DLG for the early morning flying...

Yeah red and green is the plan. My micro gliders do very well in the morning light lift too.

@Red are you going to have some prebuilt ones for sale again this year? The lighter end of my fleet is lacking. If so what Rx would you recommend from the frsky linup?

This is a weak spot in the FrSky lineup at this time. No truly tiny receivers with built in PWM. They did have one for a little while but no one bought the thing, so it went away. So my suggestion would be one of the Sbus only receivers and then use sbus servos, but no one makes a cheap and tiny sbus servo. :( You can add an SD1 to each servo, but the weight gain would be too high IMHO. I'll suggest they bring back the feather weight option.
Best bet today would be a depinned 4 channel, solder the servos directly to save weight. (No one ever likes this suggestion.)

I may have some kits, but not any built ones for sale I don't think. There is a FRSky compatible brick that would be perfect. From Bangood I think.

Yeah, I could tell the wing was different. Trust me, I have a soft spot for the Rat, no disrespect intended. :)

Small FrSky receivers - Found a little stash of the FrSky micro ACCST receiver. I'll grab them for inventory before they are gone. These are super light, no connectors, have to solder to them. Weighs less than a gram and 6 channels.

Sales sucked. We might bring them back. Or should we go for an ACCESS version with micro connectors like a Spektrum?

Me too, always reminded me of a Quikee 500!

Well, to give you an idea on these micro receivers. We bought 50 or so of them when they were new. They didn't sell well, but eventually sold. One of our customers stopped by a FrSky booth at an event and they looked at his plane and asked him what the receiver was as they had no idea what it was. Customer said, he bought it from us and was sold as a FrSky receiver. The FrSky staff said, nope, that is some sort of clone, Aloft ripped you off claiming that was FrSky. Customer wrote to us... I then yelled at FrSky employees. Turns out that the same FrSky employees are the ones sitting on a little stash of these receivers. LOL We will have them in a few days. I think this is the only XMR stash to be found. (Found someone trying to sell some on ebay for a very high price.)

We have these around the first weekend of May each year.

All you have to do is find a place to have the event, then set a date and tell people about it. First year you may only have a few people, but if you all have fun, it should grow each year! Before you now it you will have a great event to look forward to! They are not a ton of work, lots of fun.

Another one done for Sunset. Jalapeño vintage slope racer. Fun old school kit to build. On to the next one!
