Camp n Fly 2022!!!

Really enjoyed hanging out with you Red, looking forward to more of the same.

Did you make it to Reno this year?

Yeah I'm really looking forward to it too. I won't go off and miss Saturday this year.

I did make it to Reno....my 37 or 38th year lost count lol. My team got lucky and got 2nd in F-1 Gold. We should have been 4th ot 5th at best, but good fortune smiled upon us.

Yep Shoestring. Went as fast as it’s going to go this year, time for a new plane.

Looks like I’ll be bringing this to Sunset. AB Models composite Hawk. Up next in the build queue.

It’s next up on the build list after I finish up a jet. Guess I’ll need to give Wayne a call for some gear.

i have been looking for a scale jet to convert to a pan/tilt sloper for sunset. will just have to keep checking rcgroups i guess.

I'd considering doing another Kenny Roberts scheme, but that's getting a little tired. Might do a scalish T-45 theme.

I have considered picking up anton's super scale jet in @Wayne shop. I saw it in person. was so awesome. Now that would make a pretty cool fpv cockpit

I had wanted to have a pan/tilt setup for last sunset but just ran out of time making the big 8ft jet. Head tracking has become super cheap and easy now. So whatever i have it on, i want to have something this year tied the trainer port on my Tx that i could fly with or hand the goggles to somebody while i fly.

@Wayne any idea what the windspeed would be needed for that 339?

First new build for Sunset. Had this Mini SR framed up for a long time, so I dig it out and figured I would get it finished. Started spraying primer tonight. Lots of pinholes in that naked fuselage!

In the build queue after that:
AB Models Composite Hawk
Sequoia 2M- wings done, just fuse left
RO-8 vintage 2M floater, might set that up for night flying.
Son of Savage kit
JackMac Models Jalepeno

I think that’s enough haha

Sorry, no power planes allowed at Sunset. Includes drones. Think all flying must be at the glider port..?

Sweet bunch of planes. Always wanted one of those Mini SR7. Had a Son of Savage many many years ago. Flew better upside down then right side up. Good planes, but the big Savage would be epic at Sunset in the mornings. That big one when built light was really exceptional with a good acro pilot at the sticks. Have not seen any Savages for a good 10 years.

I’ll have to dust off some old CR kits and maybe get the Turbo back into the air.

I’m sure I’ll have a few new planes at the event to share. Got a new one just the other day we will start working on this week… :)
