Brushless set up with folding prop for mini Wanderer

Hello everyone! I’ve finished assembling my Mini Wanderer, and the result couldn’t be more amazing! I don’t know if any of you noticed, but I’m using a brushless setup, still with a 2S 450mAh battery and the same propeller. However, I designed a new hub for the propellers, which is 3D-printed in PETG material.

If anyone is interested, I have 4 motors available, already with propeller and hub. You’ll just need a 15A ESC, which is available at the Aloft store, to convert your Mini Wanderer to brushless. Some modifications are needed to fit the new motor, but it’s pretty easy: just drill new holes and screw it in.

I’m selling the motor, propeller, and hub for $18 plus shipping. However, if you’re already ordering the ESC, you can add the motor to your order by simply adding $18 for this item

to your cart, helping you save on shipping costs.

If you’re interested in converting to brushless, the power gain is incredible, and you’re going to love it!

Thanks, everyone! I’ll add some pictures later.

Looking for help with the brushless motor on the Mini Wanderer...

I'm just getting back into the hobby, I actually built the original Marks Models wanderer back around 1984? I'm about done with the Mini Wanderer build, I'm amazed at the improvements with the laser cut balsa, much easier to deal with.

I chose the brushless motor kit but the instructions show an older version of a brushed motor. I need some direction on how to finish out the nose and install the brushless EMAX ECO Micro 1404
motor. I've attached two photos, the first shows the nosecone pieces that came with the kit, the second shows the four pieces that came with the motor. Any advice would be appreciated!

Thank you Tom, I'm assuming the actual mount is the plywood piece? I've laid the parts out in order from left to right in this photo, does that look correct?

I did not mean to post this in classifieds, it tough getting old.

You use the two that came in the wanderer kit. See photo. The bottom two in your pic. These get glued on to the forward bulkhead. When you push in the plastic motor mount you will notice it has a lip that stops it from going any further. Then the balsa rings in the motor kit go over that to take up the space between the spinner and the motor mount. I only used one. Hope that helps. Also mine was a tight enough fit that I did not glue in the motor mount. That way I can pull it out if I need to remove the motor.

Got it thank you Tom. The plastic motor mount that they included was actually hiding inside the spinner in the plastic bag. It makes sense now. Appreciate it.
