Bricked R-XSR After F.Port FW Update?

Old Swashplate

New User
Like the title says, I've apparently bricked my R-XSR trying to flash the F.Port FW to it. I followed the Oscar Laing instructions (https://oscarliang.com/flash-frsky-rx-firmware/) but still it doesn't work, however it will still bind to my TX. I did flash the ".frk non EU" FW. It appeared to flash and showed "writing" and after it finished I had to rebind the RX. Per Oscar I flashed using the S.Port wire to the antenna pin in my TX module bay with the +/- pins reversed. I now get 1500 on all channels in the iNav receiver page like I did last weekend when I mistakenly first used the yellow S.Port wire thinking it was the SBUS (SBUS is green on the R-XSR I finally noticed) but that was before I tried to flash F.Port and I did have it working on SBUS. I did try to flash the regular SBUS FW back on it but it still reads all 1500's. After thinking about it I realized I never turned the external module bay on in the TX menu, Oscar didn't say anything about it. Wouldn't the module bay need to be turned on to be active? I have since tried reflashing the RX with the ext. module set to Off, PPM, XJT and SBUS but it still doesn't work. If I understand correctly when using F.Port the S.Port wire is used in place of the SBUS. I've tried it both ways and it doesn't work now. I have a new one on the way now, just hoping for any ideas on what I did or didn't do or is Oscars tutorial incorrect? Thanks in advance, JW
