Blejzyk First Plus Electric

I know this topic has been covered before, but I haven’t seen any flights posted about the First Plus electric. I have a kit that I bought from Aloft a few years ago and I‘m finally going to build it. My questions are, is it a good motor glider, and what power plant and servos would be a good match. I bought it for slopes but I have found out I prefer foamies for slope use.

Sure, will make a very nice electric. I would suggest a lower weight setup, to let this airframe really shine. Basically something with enough power to make some circling climbs to altitude, then turn it off an hunt for thermals and occasionally drop the nose and cruise by with some speed. Does that sound like the type of flying you would like from it?

Another option would be a little more power (and weight) where you can climb out more aggressively under power. This is the more normal setup, and what most folks would probably go after. You still have a good thermal hunter, but more fun when the prop is turning.

I'd not suggest trying to turn it into some sort of hotliner, it is just not what this plane is all about.

If you need some help we should be able to suggest a power setup for you.

Thanks Wayne that’s just what I’m looking for. I’m going for a light power build. Something with a little more performance than my foamy 2 meter planes would be fine.

Hello, yes, here is your power setup, it will make more than enough power for your needs. Run it on 3s packs:
