Binding G-RX6 with EXPRESS upgraded Horus X10S

I upgraded my Horus X10S with the new EXPRESS RF Board and firmware so it now runs ACCESS and ACCST. As part of the upgrade I also updated OpenTX from 2.2.2 to 2.3.15. The X10S now binds and operates with my new Archer GR6 receivers. However I have several 3-4 year old G-RX6 receivers and I discovered they won't bind now when the Horus X10S is in ACCST D16 mode. I suspect I need to update the firmware on the G-RX6 receivers.
1. If I update my G-RX6 receivers with the new Universal ACCST firmware will that resolve my binding problem?
2. I also have a G-RX8 receiver with SBUS Decoder and XM+ satellite running a total of 10 channels. I'm guessing I also need to update the G-RX8 firmware with the Universal ACCST. Do I also need to update firmware on the XM+ satellite?

Yes, UNI is the solution.

It sounds like your radio was running ACCST V1, and you have not updated to ACCST V2. So yes, you will need to update all of your ACCST receivers to either UNI (supports both V1 and V2), or FrSky ACCST V2.

Thanks Wayne, I'm sure UNI would be a good way to go. However I found a better solution, at least for me. I was looking at the FrSky website and discovered that the G-RX6 and G-RX8 receiver firmware can be updated to run ACCESS. So I have done that for a G-RX6 and a G-RX8 and they are both working fine with my newly upgraded (to EXPRESS) Horus X10S. So I will go ahead and update the firmware on the rest of my G-RX6 and G-RX8 receivers, and for future receiver purchases I'll get the Archer receivers.

Just to help you avoid an issue I had with ACCeSS. It isn't clear in the documentation that there are 2 basic versions of ACCeSS. You guessed it V1.x.xx and V2.x.xx. And like ACCST the ISRM and RX FW protocols need to be on the same basic level V1 or V2. I strongly recommend that you update all your RF modules to run V2.x.xx be them for ACCST or ACCeSS. As this is a converted radio I didn't want this to be an assumption that goes unchecked.
